Welcome to Chickhaus Studio. I marry beauty with practicality. I create and execute. I am a problem solver and pie eater. I have over two decades worth of design experience with a brief hiatus in the baking/pastry world. When I'm not designing infographics or laying out a quarterly newsletter, I am baking a Lego Batman cake for my kid's birthday or honing my meringue making skills.

With the digital age, a lot of my work exists in a virtual space. To compensate, I make breads, cakes, and pies to satisfy the other senses.

Recipe for success

 

  • Manage and track all aspects of production from concept through to delivery including scheduling, asset buildout, quality control, and fulfillment

    Adhering to project directives and brand guidelines to extend key art according to specifications, production standards, color quality standards, and digital requirements

    Quality control within artwork files including typeset revisions, spelling, messaging, image size, color corrections, etc.

    Develop and maintain design templates, guidelines, libraries, and storage best practices for consistency across all projects and materials

  • Close collaboration with creative team, content managers, project managers, vendors, printers, and other creative/production partners

    Strong technical skills in asset development within both traditional and digital environments including creating style sheets, templates, and libraries

    Solid knowledge of the printing process including building mechanicals to vendor specifications, pre-flight and packaging files; work closely with external vendors with quotes, proofing, press checks, scheduling, job tracking, and invoicing

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, XD, Premier)
